Technical Tamara is about to make her debut as part of a Melbourne Fringe Festival exhibition from September 23rd until October 11th . She’s very excited to be taking part in ‘Echo’s Lost’, an exploration of memory and what is left behind when the memory fades.
She & her companions from 14 other Omnific Assembly artists will be available for viewing 24 hours a day in the window of Circa Vintage Clothing store, 102 Gertrude St, Fitzroy. Of course if you go during Circa’s opening hours you can also be tempted by their gorgeous collection of vintage treasures too!

Wow, what a find; I’m very excited by this peepshow tunnel book entitled ‘Fly Me To The Moon & Back’! An incredibly detailed little scene is made up of intricately cut paper concertinaed into a book form; so much visually & figuratively packed into a space of just 9 by 9 by 10 inches! Peek into the window & you get to play peeping tom in this mid century couple’s life of domestic bliss. Truly amazing work by Jenny Swearington, from the Appalachian mountains of North Carolina. These clever, quirky & eminently practical candlesticks are dreamt up & then cold welded into being by an Illinois PhD student in her spare time (apparently sleep is optional; who has spare time while undertaking a PhD in anything?) when she’s not studying history. Such attractive pieces with a sense of humor to match their robust nature; just love it! Even her store I’m A Sally Pants has a sense of fun, with the slogan ‘where form mocks function’!

Breathtakingly beautiful work by Western Australian glass artist Deborah. She not only freehand etches her designs into each piece, but also makes the dichroic glass herself! As amazing as they are on screen; they’re even more spectacular in person.
