Winter Art Auction
in Support of the
Gay and Lesbian Switchboard

6pm July 31 2009
Guildford Lane Gallery
20–24 Guildford lane, Melbourne

Guildford Lane Gallery is about to celebrate its one-year anniversary
with a sparkling Winter Art Auction. The action-packed event will blow
away the winter blues on the 31st of July by raising money for the Gay
& Lesbian Switchboard, local artists and our Gallery.

With a selection of stunning original works from emerging and
established representatives of Australian contemporary art, the
Auction will offer an exciting and broad spectrum of items starting at
$100 and ranging to high-end collectible pieces. The artworks will be
available for viewings and pre-bidding from 29th July. This Winter
Charity Art Auction is shaping up to be a spectacular celebration of a
year which has seen the gallery grow into a cutting-edge facility and
a hub of creative activity.

The Auction aims to raise funds and awareness for the Gay & Lesbian
Switchboard, which provides a counseling, referral and information
service for the Victorian and Tasmanian gay, lesbian, bisexual,
transgender and intersex (GLBTI) communities.

Switchboard’s free, anonymous and confidential service was established
in 1991. It is currently staffed by over forty trained volunteer
counsellors, who offer much-needed assistance to a wide range of
callers who may be experiencing problems with work, family or
relationships.
